VTO & STO transforms a standard 2D cephalometric X-ray into an interactive treatment planning tool, allowing clinicians to simulate tooth and jaw movements, visualize soft tissue changes, and clearly communicate predicted treatment outcomes.
How to Access the VTO & STO Feature
From the Patients list, click on the desired patient's name to highlight it. Under 2D Actions, select Trace or Download.
You will be directed to the cephalometric tracing page. Click the VTO button in the top-right corner to access the VTO feature.
This is the control panel for creating the best prediction movement, visualizing tissue, and comparing scenarios.
Understanding the Tools
Planned Treatments – Enter a name for a new treatment plan.
Movements – Expand this section to adjust dental and skeletal movements for the selected plan, including soft tissue movement, rotations, and more.
View Management – Choose how to display the VTO & STO: Ceph, Profile, or Profile over Ceph.
Morph – Enable morphing to visualize soft tissue changes.
2. Comparison – Display profiles or cephalometric images side by side for comparison.
3. Outline – Show or hide the current outline.
4. Original Outline – Show or hide the original cephalometric outline before any movements.
5. Background Toggle – Show or hide the X-ray background.
6. Surgical Toggle – Show or hide the surgical prediction outlines.
Export – Export the VTO & STO as an image, PDF, animation, or save it to the server.
Group Management – Group points or outlines to move them together.
Point Management – Add, remove, or adjust individual points.
Animate button - appears at the top when Morph is enabled. It activates the animation and displays the predicted surgical visualization.
