Our updated 3D Viewer now allows you to upload both DICOM and IOS (Intra Oral Scan) scans to our system for automatic stitching. Our advanced AI technology will create a superior image by combining the accuracy of intraoral scans with a detailed root\skeletal anatomy provided by the CBCT. The meshed STL files can be exported to most planning software packages for the final treatment planning.

The meshing of intraoral scans with DICOM segmentation marks the next level in the planning of clear aligners and indirect bonding. With this advanced technology, you can confidently plan the teeth movement with utmost accuracy while reducing the risk of root collision.

How to upload the files

  1. Upload a DICOM\CBCT file: Go to Patients list-> click on New Patient-> Fill in the information -> choose 3D-> Select a format-> Drag &Drop or click to upload the file. Wait until you receive a popup notification confirming the completion of the process.

  2. Upload the IOS file: Go to Patients list-> 3D Actions menu-> click on Upload STL -> choose scan type to upload (Upper jaw\Lower jaw)-> Drag & Drop or click to upload the file-> click on Save & Exit.

  3. Open the 3D Viewer by selecting View STL under the 3D Actions menu.

Under the view option on the upper menu in the viewer , you can select Switch source and choose between CBCT and Stitched view.

Clip Scene Feature

The "Clip Scene" feature allows you to view a 3D segmentation of the teeth and surrounding structures from different angles, helping you identify potential issues such as overcrowding, misalignment, or impacted teeth.

It allows you to isolate specific teeth or areas of the anatomy and view them in detail.

Click on the Clip Scene, Select the Angle (coronal, sagittal, axial) then move the bar. Adjust the clipping plane to show different angles of the 3D segmentation. If you move the bar you can select the “Flip” option to display the other side of the segmentation.

Measure Distance Feature

The "Measure Distance" feature is incredibly useful for measuring the distance between individual teeth or the teeth and the jawbone. This feature helps you to create accurate treatment plans for your patients.

Simply click once on the segmentation until a dot appears, and then sketch a line. The measurement will be displayed for you.

Please note that the measurement is a general estimation and cannot be saved.

High-Quality Video of the Segmentation

Another new feature in our 3D Viewer is a high-quality video of the segmentation. This feature is helpful for communication with patients, other dental professionals, or insurance providers. You can download the segmentation as a PDF report or JPEG image for a comprehensive record of the patient's treatment progress.

Download the report and select from the list of formats:

Video (*webm) - a video of the segmentation from different angles.

PDF (8 in 1) - a PDF report with eight images of the segmentation from different angles.

Image (*Jpeg)/Pdf (current view) - both provide the current image or screenshot of the segmentation.

View by Angle

Click on the "View Angle" feature. Choose the desired angle of the anatomy.

Upgrade your package to one of our 3D plans and enjoy improved patient outcomes, faster.
