In the 3D viewer feature, you’ll find a wider range of tools designed to enhance your visualization, refine your workflow, and support more accurate, confident treatment planning.
Clip Scene Feature
The “Clip Scene” feature lets you explore a 3D segmentation of the teeth and surrounding structures from multiple angles, making it easier to spot concerns such as overcrowding, misalignment, or impacted teeth.
It also allows you to isolate specific teeth or anatomical regions so you can examine them in greater detail.
Click “Clip Scene,” then choose an angle (coronal, sagittal, or axial) and move the slider to adjust the clipping plane. This lets you view the 3D segmentation from different perspectives.
After moving the slider, you can also select “Flip” to display the opposite side of the segmentation.
Measure Distance Feature
The “Measure Distance” feature is a helpful tool for estimating the distance between individual teeth or between the teeth and the jawbone, supporting more accurate treatment planning.
To use it, click once on the segmentation until a dot appears, then draw a line to the second point. The measurement will be displayed automatically.
Please note that this measurement is a general estimation and cannot be saved.
View by Angle
Click the “View Angle” feature and select the desired anatomical angle.
High-Quality Video of the Segmentation
Another new feature in our 3D Viewer is a high-quality video of the segmentation. This feature is helpful for communication with patients, other dental professionals, or insurance providers. You can download the segmentation as a PDF report or JPEG image for a comprehensive record of the patient's treatment progress.
Download the report and select from the list of formats:
Video (webm) - a video of the segmentation from different angles.
PDF (8 in 1) - a PDF report with eight images of the segmentation from different angles.
Image JPEG & PDF (current view) - both provide the current image or screenshot of the segmentation.
