How to access the STL View

From the Patient List, select the desired patient by clicking on their name once. The row will be highlighted in blue.

Under the 3D Actions column, click on the View 3D button.

The View 3D includes three navigation tools at the top: View, Ortho, and Share options.

Additionally, it displays the segmented elements on the right-hand side.

View Menu

By clicking the View menu in the top-left corner, the following options are available:

Show/Hide Option

To simulate an extraction, click on the desired tooth. You can also toggle the visibility of specific anatomical components. Use the switches to enable (blue) or disable (gray) the Maxilla, Mandible, Maxilla Teeth, Mandible Teeth, Nerve, and Airway. Once adjustments are made, click Save to preserve the updated view.

Opacity Option

You’ll find two opacity sliders: the right slider adjusts the opacity of the bones, while the left slider adjusts the opacity of the teeth. Simply drag the slider to set your preferred opacity level, and remember to click Save to keep your changes.

Color Option

You can choose which anatomical structure you’d like to change the color of. This feature helps differentiate the various parts of the mouth from each other and from the background as desired.

Switch the view to Mandibular Perspective, Maxilla Perspective, or Default View.

Tooth Number Option

By clicking on the Tooth Number option in the View menu, you can display all the numbered labels on the teeth.

By double-clicking on a specific tooth, you can:

  • Change the tooth number.

  • Select the tooth type (Permanent, Deciduous, or Supernumerary).

  • Add remarks, if necessary.

Add Tooth Option

You can easily add a tooth by selecting a file from your browser and uploading it to the system.

Remove Tooth Option

If you want to remove a tooth, simply click on it, or manage it through the drop-down menu on the right-hand side. From there, you can select the tooth number and click the eye icon to hide or remove it.

For quicker adjustments, you can double-click on the selected tooth; a drop-down menu will appear, allowing you to make changes instantly. Don’t forget to save your work once you finish adjusting the teeth.

Smoothing Option

When this function is checked, it allows you to make the tooth surface smoother.
