3D Pano Roots

Automatically generate a high-quality 3D panoramic view with detailed root visualization for a comprehensive assessment of tooth anatomy and alignment.

Written by Eva Geri

This new feature enables the generation and visualization of 3D synthetic tooth roots from a panoramic image and an intraoral scan. You can view the roots in the 3D Viewer and toggle the panoramic image for reference.

How does it work

How to Generate 3D Pano Roots:

Upload an IOS scan for the patient. Select the patient, then click Upload STL from the dropdown under the 3D Actions column.

On this page, you can upload one or more IOS scan files for processing.

You can upload a panoramic image when creating a patient by selecting the Image Gallery option. Alternatively, if the patient has already been created, you can upload the panoramic image by clicking Edit on the left-hand side of the patient list.

The system will automatically generate 3D tooth roots using the panoramic image.

Once processing is complete, the generated roots will be available in the 3D Viewer.

The 3D Pano Roots feature is available in the Intraoral View within the 3D View.

Select the View 3D option under the 3D Actions column.

In the 3D viewer, select the Intraoral View feature in the View Module.

In the top-right corner, click the Panoramic Roots button to display the panoramic image with the generated 3D tooth roots overlaid. You can select any tooth on the panoramic image, and the corresponding tooth will be highlighted in the 3D view below.
