Superimposition allows you to overlay two cephalometric tracings to visualize and compare anatomical changes over time, helping evaluate treatment progress and outcomes.
How to create a Superimposition Report?
After uploading the first-stage cephalometric X-ray when creating a new patient, you can upload the second stage.
Go to the Patients list and click once on the patient's name to highlight it. Then, under 2D Actions, click Add Stage to upload the second-stage cephalometric X-ray. You can upload as many Ceph images as needed for the same patient.
2. On the Add New Patient page, the treatment stage is automatically set to Post-treatment. If needed, you can update the patient's age, X-ray date, and treatment stage before uploading your Ceph.
3. Upload the X-ray by dragging and dropping the image into the upload area, or click the upload box to browse and select the file from your computer.
You can also add additional treatment stages for the same patient at any time by following the same process.
Upload a Second Ceph from a Different Timeline, second option
Go to the Patients list and click once on the patient's name to highlight it. Under 2D Actions, click Trace or Download. You will be redirected to the new Tracing UI.
Click the Superimposition button in the top-right corner. Then, click Drop Image and upload the second cephalometric X-ray from the desired timeline.
To download the Superimposition Report, return to the patients list and select the relevant patient. Then, under 2D Actions, choose Superimposition from the dropdown menu.
Select Superimposition from the top-right corner. The two cephalometric tracings will be overlaid for comparison. If needed, you can adjust their alignment.
Under the Alignment section on the right, use the Stage dropdown to select the tracing you want to modify. By default, the Pre-treatment stage is selected. You can then adjust the rotation and alignment to accurately position the tracing.
There are several ways to choose which cephalometric tracing you want to work on. You can use the slider below the tracing, select the desired stage from the panel on the left, or choose it from the Stage dropdown in the Alignment section.
Download the Superimposition Report
To download the Superimposition Report, first customize the report by selecting the desired Alignment Option for each image: Full Face Superimposition, Maxilla, or Mandible.
Once you have made your selections, click Download to save the report to your computer.
