The Frontal Image feature enables automatic facial analysis from a frontal patient photograph, helping clinicians evaluate facial symmetry, proportions, and soft tissue relationships. It provides valuable diagnostic information that complements cephalometric analysis and supports comprehensive orthodontic treatment planning.
How to upload a frontal image
There are two ways to upload a frontal image:
Option 1 – Upload through the Image Gallery
Click New Patient and fill in the required patient information.
Then upload either a frontal image or your entire image gallery using the Image Gallery option.
Once the upload is complete, you will be redirected to the Image Gallery module. Close it, then click either Trace or Download under the 2D Actions column to access the Frontal feature.
Select the Frontal tab to view your image.
5. Then click the desired Screen Analysis to display the facial analysis. Below the analysis, you will find the Analysis Measurements table, which provides a description of each measurement.
You can review the results and make adjustments using the editing tools if needed.
Use the toolbar to zoom, pan, and edit landmarks.
Option 2 – Upload directly from the Frontal feature
Select the patient.
Under 2D Actions, click the Trace or Download button.
Click the "Frontal" button, then drag and drop the image or click the upload area to select it.
The image will be processed automatically.
